The Buccal Fat Removal procedure typically takes about 30 minutes to 1 hour and is performed under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia. Our surgeons make small incisions inside the mouth, near the second upper molars, to access and remove the buccal fat pads. The incisions are then sutured, leaving no visible scars on the face.
After the procedure, patients can expect some swelling and discomfort, which will subside within a few days. Most patients can return to normal activities within a week. The final results will gradually become apparent over several weeks, revealing a more sculpted and defined facial appearance.
